Today marks the end of Storage Solutions USA (Minneapolis) employee Mike Essen's career in material handling and the beginning of what we hope will be a long and enjoyable retirement.  Mike has been a part of material handling industry since 1974.  Before we see him off, we would like to share Mike's own reflections on his nearly 40-year career with our blog audience.

In this day and age, green is practically a part of everyday life.  Whether we're driving smaller cars, drinking from glass bottles instead of plastic or recycling instead of just tossing everything into the trash, our culture is becoming more and more aware of the impact we have on the environment.  The thing that's easy to forget is that making things "green" reaches past the things we do on a personal, day-to-day basis.  That's why we thought it was important to create an infographic all about SUSTAINABLE WAREHOUSING!

The final time-lapse video for our project in Dallas is live!  This video chronicles the installation of 598 pallet rack bays, 810 single-level rack bins, and 300' of guardrail in a 160,000 sq. ft. facility. 

As many of you may have read over the last few years, Storage Solutions has been fortunate to continue to grow throughout the U.S. with the opening of our Minneapolis and Nashville offices.  The time has come to plant more roots as we expand to southern California!
